You may have noticed some recent changes to The Rumpus masthead.
First, the sad news. Katy Henriksen, our first-ever Music Editor, is stepping down to make time for other projects. Katy has been a key force in shaping the music section at The Rumpus, and she will be missed—though you will continue to see her name around these parts, as she’ll be continuing her Rumpus column, Diamonds and Rust.
We’re also saying goodbye to our wonderful Interviews Editor, Matt Tanner, who will be moving on to focus on his own writing. We look forward to seeing what he’ll do next!
Luckily, we’ve already found awesome new editors to step in.
Our new Interviews Editor, Ben Pfeiffer, doesn’t really require an introduction, as he’s been on board as Matt’s assistant editor for nearly a year, and has been a contributor to the site since 2011. And we couldn’t be happier that he’s on hand to take the reigns and continue the great work Matt’s been doing. (Ben will be looking for his own assistant soon, so keep an eye on the blog for more on that if you’re interested.)
Patrick Boyle, our new Music Editor, comes to us with an extensive background in music, strong editorial experience, and exciting new ideas on how to bring more music to The Rumpus. And our new Assistant Music Editor, Liz Wood, will help him bring those ideas to fruition, while sharing a few of her own. Welcome to The Rumpus, Patrick and Liz.
