Lenny Kravitz has had his share of the limelight, ever since Duke Ellington allegedly played “Happy Birthday” for him on his 5th birthday. While he might be in the news lately for oversharing, audiences have been in love with his music and his undeniable talent for more than 25 years. His 1991 hit song “It Ain’t Over ‘Til It’s Over” was recorded and released as part of Mama Said, a record that supposedly reacted to his failed marriage with the famous actress, Lisa Bonet. Kravitz plays most of the instruments on the session recording of this smooth and remarkably soulful lament.
