Meet Our New Rumpus Interviews Editor!

We are sad to announce that Ben Pfeiffer, who has been working with The Rumpus for nearly two years, first as Assistant Interviews Editor and then as Interviews Editor, will be moving on to work on personal projects. Ben has been an integral part of the site, making sure to keep our Interviews section running smoothly and more importantly, making sure we are interviewing interesting, diverse, and unique writers and artists.

Luckily, Ben leaves us in capable hands. We’re thrilled to announce that our current Assistant Essays Editor, Melissa Batchelor Warnke, will be stepping into the Interviews Editor position. And, Melissa is looking for her own assistant(s)—check out this post if you are interested.

Ben has been contributing to the site since 2011, and is a part of the Rumpus family. He’ll continue to contribute when he can, and we’re excited to see what he does next! A warm welcome to Melissa in her new role, and a “see ya soon” and best of luck in your next endeavors to Ben!
