The Body and the Disembodied

Little sleeve, Is this really what we call saving?
Across an ocean drones are banqueting

as bees as bombs in bridal arrangements
& we call this progress. The satellites are monitoring

our devolving.  Little sleeve, How does love appear
in no gravity? Like love, like love.

The Boston Review recently shared poems from their 2016 Poetry Contest winner Cori A. Winrock. In a cascading set of poems that spring off one another in theme, Winrock explores the body and the disembodied, and the emptiness of space, as a template for our nagging uncertainties.
