Sunday 4/2: As always, the Uptown Poetry Slam is going down at The Green Mill. Open mic starts at 7 p.m. followed by the slam itself. $7, 21+.

Tuesday 4/4: Laura Caldwell discusses her latest book Anatomy of Innocence at The Book Cellar. 7 p.m., free.

Poetry off the Shelf at The Poetry Foundation continues with a reading by Adrian Matejka. 7 p.m., free.

Wednesday 4/5: Ellis M. Goodman reads from his new book The Keller Papers at City Lit Books. 6:30 p.m., free.

Brian F. Harrison and Melissa R. Michelson read from their book Listen, We Need to Talk: How to Change Attitudes About LGBT Rights. Women & Children First, 7:30 p.m., free.

Thursday 4/6: Visit The Book Cellar to celebrate the launch of Jumping Over Shadows, a memoir by local author Annette Gendler. 7 p.m., free.
