OUTspoken! is the hottest queer open mic in the Twin Cities and is hosted by spoken word artists Nikolas Martell and Paul Canada Nemeth. It’ll include incredible feature performers, numerous costume changes, and a whole lot of glitter. Performers get seven minutes. Fox Egg Gallery, 7:30 p.m., free.
Thursday 4/13: National Poetry Month Party! Join poets and poetry fans for a party in the Milkweed Editions office suite (there will even be poetry-themed drinks and hors d’oeuvres, score!). At 7 p.m. the party continues with a reading in the Target Performance Hall featuring the finalists for this year’s $10,000 Lindquist & Vennum Prize for Poetry—the largest regional poetry prize.
