Saturday 6/24: Head to Volumes Bookcafé for Poetas: Celebrating Latinx Poets. Readers include Vincent Toro, Dr. Grisel Y. Acosta, Ruben Quesada, Erika L. Sanchez, Daniel Borzutsky, and Steve Castro. 7:30 p.m., free.

Sunday 6/25: Don’t miss the 46th Annual Chicago Pride Parade! The parade begins at noon at Montrose and Broadway and ends at Diversey and Sheridan. Free.

Wednesday 6/28: The Poetry Foundation hosts Riding and Striding, Reaching and Teaching: A Short Film of a Day in the Life of Gwendolyn Brooks. The screening will be followed by a conversation and Q&A with activist and photographer Roy Lewis, moderated by Haki Madhubuti. 12 p.m., free.

Women & Children First welcomes Susan Bordo as she discusses her new book, The Destruction of Hillary Clinton, with local author Kim Brooks. 7:30 p.m., free.

Thursday 6/29: Visit City Lit Books for the book launch of Travel Notes from the River Styx by Susanna Lang, with a reading by Marty McConnell. 6:30 p.m., free.

Kevin Coval reads from A People’s History of Chicago at Women & Children First. Other readers include Britteney Black Rose Kapri, Eva Lewis, Selah Amoaku, and Ally Baron. 7:30 p.m., free.
