Sunday 7/2: It’s Button Poetry at Icehouse! Come enjoy a night of poetry performances featuring Natasha T. Miller, Jared Singer, Bernard Ferguson, and Avalon Moon. Icehouse, 7 p.m., $8 in advance, $10 at the door.

Monday 7/3: Button Poetry Live is a monthly poetry showcase. July’s installment will feature Jared Singer, and poets can sign up for a slot at the mic. Poet sign-up closes at 7:45pm the night of the event. Camp Bar Twin Cities, 7 p.m., $9–$15.

Tuesday 7/4: Happy 4th of July! Go read a book on the beach.

Wednesday 7/5: Books & Bars monthly book discussion and live show will center on Blake Crouch’s Dark Matter for the month of July. Amsterdam Bar & Hall, 5 p.m., free.

Thursday 7/6: Terry Tempest Williams will present her new book The Hour of Land: A Personal Topography of America’s National ParksMagers & Quinn Booksellers, 7 p.m., free.

Paul Schaefer will be reading from his novel Riding Shotgun and signing copies. Subtext Books, 7 p.m., free.

Friday 7/7: Edie Jarolim will reading and discussing her book, Getting Naked for Money: An Accidental Travel Writer Reveals All. Book signing to follow. Subtext Books, 7 p.m., free.

Saturday 7/8: Join Addendum Books and author Abby Cooper for the launch party of her new book BubblesArlington Hills Community Center, 10:30 a.m., free.
