Monday 8/28: William Kent Krueger will be reading and discussing his new book Sulfur Springs. SubText Books, 7 p.m., free.

Thursday 8/31: NorthGate Brewing is excited to present Trivia Mafia, every Thursday night at its taproom in Northeast Minneapolis. Bring your friends, form teams, and show off your knowledge. NorthGate Brewing Company, 7 p.m., free.

Friday 9/1: A release party for the third set of “Impressions” broadsides, featuring readings by Maddie Schumacher, John L. Smith, Saymoukda Duangphouxay Vongsay, and others. Java Express, 7 p.m., free.
