Friday 9/1: Visit Women & Children First for a reading from Infinite Genders, a compilation of poems written by the mentors, mentees, and facilitators from the 2016-17 TransWorks’s Mentorship Program. Readers include FLOTUS Cheyenne, Lucy Diavolo, Lucky Hinkle, Katie Jackson Angelina Nordstrom, and Jes Scheinpflug. 7:30 p.m., free.

Tuesday 9/5: Join Eve Ewing to celebrate the launch of her new book, Electric Arches. The evening will feature readings by Tara Betts and Kara Jackson. Tickets are $10, and include a signed copy of the book. Marwen, 6 p.m.

Wednesday 9/6: Visit City Lit Books for a reading with David Masciotra from his new book, Barack Obama: Invisible Man. 6:30 p.m., free.
