Tuesday 1/23: The Chasing Windmills series returns with readings by Caroline Barnes, Emily Brodeur, Andrew Katz, and Jason Rosenberg! Hosted by Amanda Buck-Celeiro. 6 p.m. at Black Sheep Pub and Restaurant.

Wednesday 1/24: Just across the bridge, the Writers in Camden series will be presenting poetry readings by Tina Chang and Marie Howe. 7 p.m. at The Writers House at Rutgers University-Camden.

Thursday 1/25: The Kelly Writers House will host their annual winter-themed reading on Thursday evening. Featuring Syd Baloue, Josh Bolton, Gina DeCagna, Jacob Kind, Ari Lewis, Taije Silverman, Zoe Stoller, Yolanda Wisher, and a collective reading of “The Snowman” by Wallace Stevens! 5 p.m. at Kelly Writers House.

Sunday 1/28: In its first reading of 2018, The Random Name Poetry Series will present local poets Raena Shirali and Nomi Stone! Hosted by David Hancock. 7:30 p.m. at Dahlak Paradise.

The January Edition of Poetry at P&P will feature readings by local poets Tim Lynch, Megan Gillespie, and Savannah Cooper-Ramsey. 8 p.m. at The Pen & Pencil Club. 

Monday 1/29: Celebrate the launch of Philadelphia Stories’ Winter 2018 issue, which explores music and the way it affects our lives. Contributors will read their poetry, essays, and fiction in an event featuring original artwork from the issue. 5:30 p.m. at Philadelphia City Institute Free Library.
