Nuestra Muestra, a literary talk for Mexican women writers, will welcome the Mexican community as first guests, but any interested person is also welcome. 7 p.m. at Kelly Writers House.
Thursday 3/1: The Wooden Shoe will host “The Poetics of Crisis,” a reading featuring Daniel Sokoloff, Joohyun Kim, No Land, Heru Shabaka-Ra, Val Chamberlain, and Cait Turner. An open mic will follow the featured performers. 7 p.m. at Wooden Shoe Books and Records.

Saturday 3/3: Philly AIDS Thrift will host a book launch for THERE: a novel of manners by Lonely Christopher and The Atheist in the Attic by Samuel R. Delany. Hosted by Gregory Laynor. 6:30 p.m. at Philly AIDS Thrift at Giovanni’s Room.
Monday 3/5: The Monday Poets series will present readings by Catherine Staples and Ernest Hilbert. 6:30 p.m. at Parkway Central Library.
