Friday 2/16: Thirty West Publishing presents readings by Chester County poets Christian Sammartino, Ze Lynx, and C.J. McGowan, followed by an open mic. Hosted by Josh Dale. 6:30 p.m. at Big Blue Marble Bookstore.
Saturday 2/17: In honor of the #MeToo and #TimesUp movement and in conjunction with A Shadow Map: An Anthology by Survivors of Sexual Assault, Joanna C. Valente will host a Philadelphia edition of their Voices of Sexual Assault Survivors reading series. Featuring readings by Berry Grass, Prairie M. Faul, Laura Kochman, Becca Khalil, Alexandra Naughton, and Claudia Cortese. 6 p.m. at Wooden Shoe Books and Records.
Sunday 2/18: You Can’t Kill a Poet, a reading series for queer and/or trans identified poets to share their work, is hosting an open mic night! 5 p.m. at Fishtown Social.
Jaime Fountaine’s Excuse My Dust series, which offers an hour of “wit, writing, and weirdness”, returns with performances by Tracey Levine, Amy Saul-Zerby, and Financial Guru Gregg Gethard. 8 p.m. at Good Good Comedy Theatre.
Monday 2/19: The Kelly Writers House will present a poetry reading by transnational poet, translator, and performance artist Sawako Nakayasu. 6 p.m. at Kelly Writers House.
