Wednesday 3/28: The release party for Gabriel Ojeda-Sague’s new book Jazzercise Is a Language will also feature readings by Caolan Madden and Julia Bloch! 7:30 p.m. at L’Etage.

The Philly Poetry Workshop, which meets every second and fourth Wednesday of the month, is free and accessible to all. Bring printed copies of the piece you would like to workshop. 7 p.m. at A-Space Community Center.

Thursday 3/29: Frank O’Hara’s Last Lover presents readings by Jean Day, Ariel Resnikoff, and Elizabeth Baber! Hosted by Jason Mitchell. 7:30 p.m. at Sam’s Morning Glory Diner.

The annual “7 Up” series returns with seven speakers each speaking for seven minutes on a shared topic (this year the theme is “blue”). Featured speakers will be Kayla Bernstein, Ryan Briggs, Ashley Codner, Amber Rose Johnson, Gabriel Ojeda-Sague, Zoe Stoller, and Jennifer Houser Wegner. 6 p.m. at Kelly Writers House. 

Sunday 4/1: The Random Name Poetry Series will present readings by Zack Haber, Oki Sogumi, and Orchid Tierney! Hosted by David Hancock. 7:30 p.m. at Dahlak Paradise. 

Monday 4/2: Community Drafts returns with an evening of creative writing, music, and improve hosted by Misty Rosso. Arrive by 7:45 p.m. to sign up for the open mic. 8 p.m. at Lucky 13 Pub.
