Thursday 5/3: Professor William P. Jones, author of The March on Washington: Jobs, Freedom and the Forgotten History of Civil Rights and The Tribe of Black Ulysses: African American Lumber Workers in the Jim Crow South, will discuss the sanitation strike that Martin Luther King, Jr. advocated for prior to his death in 1968, as well as the broader history of public sector unions.
