Friday 5/4: Visit Women & Children First for a night of hybrid performances in celebration of blake nemec’s new book Sharing Plastic. Joining blake will be Aerin Cooper, Nora Gaines, and Kiam Marcelo Junio. 7:30 p.m., free.

Saturday 5/5: Head back to Women & Children First to hear Chelsey Clammer read from Circadian. She will be joined in conversation by Deborah Siegel. 6 p.m., free.

Sunday 5/6: As always, the Uptown Poetry Slam is going down at The Green Mill. Open mic starts at 7 p.m. followed by the slam itself. $7, 21+.

Tuesday 5/8: In celebration of her new novel, The Pisces, Melissa Broder will be in conversation with local author Megan Stielstra (The Wrong Way to Save Your Life). 7 p.m., Uptown Underground. Buy tickets here.

Wednesday 5/9: Robert Hunter will be at The Book Cellar to promote his new book, Relapse: A Love Story, and perform some of his music! 7 p.m., free.

Women & Children First hosts the launch celebration of How to Live: What the Rule of St. Benedict Teaches Us about Happiness, Meaning, and Community by journalist Judith Valente. 7:30 p.m., free.

Thursday 5/10: Poetry off the Shelf continues at The Poetry Foundation with readings by Mark Doty and Rafael Campo. 7 p.m., free.
