Friday 5/25: Robert Kurson reads from his new book, Rocket Men: The Daring Odyssey of Apollo 8 and the Astronauts Who Made Man’s First Journey to the Moon, at the Seminary Co-op Bookstore. 6 p.m., free.

Sunday 5/27: As always, the Uptown Poetry Slam is going down at The Green Mill. Open mic starts at 7 p.m. followed by the slam itself. $7, 21+.

Tuesday 5/29: Rus Bradburd will be at The Book Cellar to discuss his book, All the Dreams We’ve Dreamed: A Story of Hoops and Handguns on Chicago’s West Side. 6:30 p.m., free.

Wednesday 5/30: Women & Children First welcomes Franchesca Ramsey in conversation with Luvvie Ajayi. They will be discussing Franchesca’s new book, Well, That Escalated Quickly. 7 p.m., tickets are here and include a copy of the book.

Thursday 5/31: Head back to Women & Children First to celebrate the launch of Questions I Want to Ask You by local author Michelle Falkoff. Michelle will be in conversation with Amelia Brunskill. 7 p.m., free.

Visit The Book Cellar to celebrate the launch of Broken Places by Tracy Clark! 7 p.m., free.
