We will soon be opening submissions for Rumpus Original Poetry! We plan to open for submissions in early 2019, and will announce our first reading period later in the fall.
This year we’ve brought on two poetry editors to focus on original poetry, Cortney Lamar Charleston and Carolina Ebeid, with the goal of providing more room for marginalized voices and bringing our readers a more diverse reading experience. With a transition to open submissions, our new editors seek eager readers to join the team.
If you are interested in working with our Poetry Editors and are committed to the mission of celebrating inclusivity, we welcome you to apply! Please send the following:
1. A brief bio or introduction
2. A brief explanation of why The Rumpus’s mission for poetry speaks to you
3. Your resume, and any relevant work experience
