Saturday 11/24: Celebrate Indies First with local authors Lidia Yuknavitch, Leni Zumas, Karen Karbo, Jason Arias, Courtenay Hameister, Willy Vlautin, and many more throughout the day. Writers will be hanging out signing books and promoting independent bookstores. Broadway Books, 10:30 a.m.–5 p.m., free.

Monday 11/26: M. Allen Cunningham reads from his new book, Perpetua’s Kin. Powell’s Books on Hawthorne, 7:30 p.m., free.

Wednesday 11/28: Historian Heather Mayer reads from her latest book, Beyond the Rebel Girl: Women in the Industrial Workers of the World in the Pacific Northwest 1905–1924. Powell’s City of Books, 7:30 p.m., free.
