Wednesday 11/28: The All But True series will return with readings by Katherine Locke and Nova Ren Suma. 6 p.m. at Penn Book Center.
The Group Chat, a collective of Black femme poets, will present “Despite Y’all,” a poetry showcase featuring performances by Kai Davis, Afaq, Miriam Harris, Shanel Edwards, Jasmine L. Combs, Natalia Garay, and Nayo Jones. 7 p.m. at Moore College of Art and Design.
Thursday 11/29: Raquel Salas Rivera will host “Navigating Distance: A Conversation on Contemporary Puerto Rican Poetry,” featuring Denice Frohman and Cindy Jimenez-Vera. 6 p.m. at Kelly Writers House.
Friday 11/30: Penn Book Center will host an evening of poetry with readings by Elaine Terranova and Susan Stewart, 6 p.m. at Penn Book Center.

Saturday 12/1: The soft opening of A Novel Idea on Passyunk, a new independent bookstore in South Philadelphia, will feature complimentary fresh baked goods, wine, beer, and snacks! 11 a.m. at A Novel Idea on Passyunk.
Book Corner will present Philly’s first Queer Zine Fest, featuring a host of local queer zines! 4:30 p.m. at Book Corner.
Cherry Street Pier will host a Philly Book and Author Fest on December 1st and 2nd, featuring booksellers Head House Books, Penn Book Center, and Big Blue Marble Bookstore! Local authors will be on hand to sign and personalize books. 11 a.m. at Cherry Street Pier.
Sunday 12/2: Faye Chevalier and Fae Gehringer will present “Yes, We Are Alive,” a reading to celebrate being joyously alive! Featuring readings by Zach Blackwood, Faye Chevalier, Prairie M. Faul, p.e. garcia, Fae Gehringer, Berry Grass, Laura Kochman, and Rachel Milligan. 7 p.m. at Tattooed Mom.
