Tuesday 11/20: The Green Line Café Poetry Series and Poetry in Common will present a reading featuring Harriet Levin, Julia Kolchinsky Dasbach, Alina Pleskova, and Yolanda Wisher. 6:30 p.m. at Green Line on Locust.

The fifth iteration of Making Roads, a prose reading series and salon for Philadelphia-area and visiting writers, will feature readings by Rasheedah Phillips and Raquel Salas Rivera! The event will also be a benefit for Reclaim Philadelphia’s Mass Liberation Campaign and the Philadelphia Community Bail Fund. Suggested donation of $10 at the door. 7 p.m. at Win Win Coffee Bar.

Pecola Breedlove and the Freedom Party will host their weekly open mic night. 7 p.m. at APoetArtGallery.

The Free Library of Philadelphia will present a reading by Jabari Asim, author of the essay collection We Can’t Breathe: On Black Lives, White Lies, and the Art of Survival. 7:30 p.m. at The Free Library of Philadelphia.
