Wednesday 12/26: Need a Boxing Day activity? Head down to San José State University’s King Library to check out their exhibition on San José’s lowrider culture. This exhibit features materials from Lowrider Magazine as well as Suzanne Lopez’s lowrider photography. King Library at SJSU in San José (ongoing exhibition).
Thursday 12/27: Head down to Stanford for a screening of Herb & Dorothy 50 x 50. Herb and Dorothy Vogel managed to create a world-class art collection on a postal worker and librarian’s salary. They went on to donate this artwork to institutions in all fifty states. Anderson Collection at Stanford University in Palo Alto at 6 p.m.
Saturday 12/29: Do you love Hayao Miyazaki’s beautiful films? BAMPFA will be screening of Spirited Away—a perfect film for the end of the year. BAMPFA in Berkeley at 3 p.m. ($5–$13, tickets required).
Tuesday 1/1: Happy New Year from Notable SF!
