Tuesday 1/8: David Housewright discusses his latest novel, First, Kill the Lawyers. PI Holland Taylor is hired to recover stolen files before they are leaked, putting the entire legal system at risk. This is a seated event. Once Upon a Crime, 7 p.m., free.

Wednesday 1/9: A discussion of Meg Medina’s Burn Baby Burn. Lake Monster Brewing Company, 6:30 p.m., free.

Saturday: 1/12: Celebrate the launch of local author David LaRochelle’s newest picture book! Isle of You is a lovely, compassionate story of using your imagination to self-soothe. Join us for storytime, a Q&A with the author, and refreshments! Red Balloon Bookshop, 10:30 a.m., free.
