Monday 2/25: Bella Luna Studios at the Wolf House proudly presents Seriously?: Absurd, grotesque, and funny poems and music. Come hear incredible music by the one and only Amanda StandAlone, and hear poetry and storytelling by Emily Anderson, Mark Anderson, and Katie Vacnino. Bella Luna Studios at the Wolf House NE, 7 p.m., free.
Thursday 2/28: Local authors Holly Day and Sherman Wick will talk about the process of writing “Walking Twin Cities,” from the initial picking out of potential hiking sites to researching the history of landmarks featured in each walk. A special focus will be given to Northeast Minneapolis and the Bottineau neighborhood, with time given at the end of the discussion for a general Q&A session. Books will be available for purchase and signing. Pierre Bottineau Library, 10 a.m., free but RSVP.
Here’s a thing: The winner of the 2019 Minnesota Book Artist Award has been announced, and it’s Jody Williams! You can check out her work from now until the April 21 in the Cowles Literary Commons at Open Book – it’s really amazing stuff.
