Friday 6/21: Celebrate pride month with a performance night hosted by Future Prairie on the theme of Becoming, featuring readings by Anna Suarez, Joni Renee Whitworth, Maryam Imam Gabriel, and Bella Hall, along with drag, musical, and video performances by various other queer artists. Wednesday 6/26: Award-winning essayist Chelsea Biondolillo reads from her new collection, The Skinned Bird, and is joined in conversation by Rene Denfeld, author of The Child Finder. Powell’s City of Books, 7:30 p.m., free.
