Tuesday 8/6: Volumes Bookcafe welcomes Caitlin Horrocks, author of the forthcoming novel The Vexations and Deborah Shapiro, author of The Summer Demands. 7 p.m., free.

Wednesday 8/7: Visit Women & Children First for the launch celebration of Gregg Shapiro’s two new poetry collections: More Poems About Buildings and Food and Sunshine State. 7 p.m., free.

The Book Cellar Book Club meets to discuss The Great Believers by Rebecca Makkai. Rebecca will be in attendance to discuss the book and answer any questions. 7 p.m., free.
