The Rumpus is once again headed to the Portland Book Festival, and we couldn’t be more excited about what we have planned this year!
This Friday, November 8, the place to be is Corporeal Writing for Phases 2 and 3 of Lit Crawl Portland! At 7 p.m., Rumpus Editor-in-Chief Marisa Siegel will be reading with editors and contributors from two new anthologies about women’s anger—Burn It Down and All of Me—including Lilly Dancyger, Dani Burlison, Ariel Gore, and G. Ravyn Stanfield.
Stay put afterward and you’ll have a saved seat for Our Words Are a Bridge: An Evening with The Rumpus, Corporeal Writing, and YesYes Books at 8 p.m. Our dream lineup includes Diannely Antigua, Jennine Capó Crucet, Steph Cha, Brandon Courtney, Ross Gay, Matt Hart, and T Kira Madden.
On Saturday, November 9, Rumpus Editor-in-Chief Marisa Siegel will be moderating an author conversation between T Kira Madden and Elizabeth McCracken at 10:30 a.m. Don’t miss these two brilliant authors discussing how to craft place and the ways that setting is important to their work.
And later that afternoon, we’ve got a pop-up at the Portland Art Museum featuring a lightning round of readings from Kristen Arnett, Jake Skeets, and Malcolm Tariq!
Lit Crawl Portland on Friday evening is free to attend! To purchase passes to the Portland Book Festival taking place all-day Saturday, head here!
