Saturday 12/28: Dana Teen Lomax (Disclosure), Kevin CK Lo (OKLDCAAN), and Andrew Choate (Learning) will be reading from their poetry. E.M. Wolfman Bookstore in Oakland at 7 p.m.
A Noh Christmas Carol reimagines Dickens’s A Christmas Carol using a combination of noh, kyogen, kabuki, and butoh. Theatre of Yugen in San Francisco at 8 p.m. ($10–$35, tickets required).
Sunday 12/29: The film Fire and Ashes: Making the Ballet RAkU explores the collaboration between composer Shinji Eshima, SF Ballet choreographer Yuri Possokhov, and the original cast of RAkU. BAMPFA in Berkeley at 2:30 p.m. ($5–$13, tickets required).
