Aimee Phan grew up in Orange County, California, and teaches in the MFA Writing Program at California College of the Arts. She is the author of two works of fiction, We Should Never Meet: Stories (2004) and The Reeducation of Cherry Truong: A Novel (2012), both published by St. Martin’s Press. She has received fellowships and residencies from the NEA, Rockefeller Foundation’s Bellagio Center, MacDowell Arts Colony, Headlands Center for the Arts, Djerassi Artists Program, and Hedgebrook. Her writing has appeared in the New York Times, Salon, USA Today, CNN.com, and the San Francisco Chronicle, among others.
