Sophie Blackall is the New York Times best-selling, two-time Caldecott Medal-winning illustrator of numerous picture books, including Ruby’s Wish, Hello Lighthouse, Finding Winnie, and the Ivy and Bean series. Working with Unicef and Save the Children, she met thousands of kids around the world who helped inspired the book If You Come to Earth (September 2020, Chronicle Books), a letter from a child to a visitor from outer space, explaining the world. She grew up in Australia but now divides her time between Brooklyn, and Hobart, New York.
