Alice Evelyn Yang is a writer from Norfolk, Virginia. Her short fiction has been published or is forthcoming in MQR, Apogee, AAWW: The Margins, among others. She is this year’s recipient of MQR’s Jesmyn Ward Prize. She holds an MFA in Fiction from Columbia University, where she was awarded the De Alba Fellowship and nominated for the Henfield Prize.
