Amber Dawn is the author of the Lambda Literary award-winning novel, Sub Rosa. Her memoir How Poetry Saved My Life: A Hustler's Memoir was the winner of the 2013 Vancouver Book Award. Her newest book Where the words and my body begins is a collection of glosa form poems. Her writing traverses themes of sex work, queer identity, survivor pride and the transformative power of literature. She is currently working on her sophomore novel, a ghost story, which is proving to be her kinkiest work yet. Find her at amberdawnwrites.com.

The Rumpus publishes original fiction, poetry, literary humor writing, comics, essays, book reviews, and interviews with authors and artists of all kinds.
