Amorak Huey’s fourth book of poems is Dad Jokes from Late in the Patriarchy (Sundress Publications, forthcoming 2021). Also forthcoming is the chapbook Slash / Slash (Diode Editions, 2021), collaboratively written with W. Todd Kaneko. Co-author with Kaneko of the textbook Poetry: A Writer’s Guide and Anthology (Bloomsbury, 2018), Huey teaches writing at Grand Valley State University in Michigan. His poems have appeared in The Southern Review, American Poetry Review, Academy of American Poets’ Poem-A-Day, and the recent Norton Critical Edition of The Odyssey.

The Rumpus publishes original fiction, poetry, literary humor writing, comics, essays, book reviews, and interviews with authors and artists of all kinds. Our mostly volunteer-run magazine strives to be a platform for risk-taking voices and writing that might not find a home elsewhere. We lift up new voices alongside those of more established writers our readers may already know and love. We want to bring new perspectives into the conversation that will make us all look deeper.
