Amy Estes is a writer and educator living in Sacramento, CA. Amy’s essay writing has been featured on the Huffington Post, Catapult, Corporeal Khôra, Evocations Review, and PULP Mag and her humor writing has been featured on McSweeney's, Slackjaw, The Belladonna, and others. Amy’s live storytelling has been featured in shows like Mortified, Cliterary Salon, Greetings From Queer Mountain, and on SoulPancake. In 2022, Amy was selected for the Kenyon Review’s Summer Residential Writers Workshops in the category of non-fiction. Currently, Amy teaches satire writing for the acclaimed Second City and middle school English for a bunch of rad students. When she’s not writing or teaching others, you can find her drinking coffee with her wife and dogs, reading, and watching her murder stories. Amy completed her memoir in 2021 and is actively seeking literary representation and publication.
