Anna Meister is author of two chapbooks, most recently As if (Glass Poetry Press, 2018). Her debut full-length collection, What Nothing, will be out from Sundress Publications in 2021. Meister earned an MFA in poetry from New York University, where she served as a Goldwater Writing Fellow. Her poems have appeared in BOAAT, Redivider, Kenyon Review, The Shallow Ends, and elsewhere. She lives in Des Moines, IA with her wife and son.

The Rumpus publishes original fiction, poetry, literary humor writing, comics, essays, book reviews, and interviews with authors and artists of all kinds. Our mostly volunteer-run magazine strives to be a platform for risk-taking voices and writing that might not find a home elsewhere. We lift up new voices alongside those of more established writers our readers may already know and love. We want to bring new perspectives into the conversation that will make us all look deeper.
