Ashley Memory lives in rural Randolph County, North Carolina, with her sculptor husband, Johnpaul Harris. When she's not cooking for family and friends, she's trying to learn to drive the skid-steer loader. Her first poetry collection, Waiting for the Wood Thrush, was just published by Finishing Line Press, and she is currently at work on a memoir of her life in the Uwharries titled Little Red Wheelbarrow. The Rumpus publishes original fiction, poetry, literary humor writing, comics, essays, book reviews, and interviews with authors and artists of all kinds.
