Bethany Kaylor is a writer and illustrator living in Iowa City. She’s an MFA candidate at the Nonfiction Writing Program at the University of Iowa, where she was a 2024-2025 Iowa Arts Fellow. Her essays and creative projects can be found at Sonora Review, Alta Journal, DIAGRAM, Sunday Long Read, and elsewhere. She’s working on a book about subcultures.
