Christie Tate is a Chicago-based writer who grew up in Texas. She's writing a memoir about how group therapy helped her overcome her addiction to isolation. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in the New York Times, the Washington Post, McSweeney's, Eastern Iowa Review, and others.
