U.S. Special Agent Cory Allen found his life’s calling in law enforcement at just 24 years old, eventually joining the U.S. Secret Service, then receiving the ultimate assignment for an agent: protecting First Lady Michelle Obama. But his career choice also meant he had to live dual lives: one as an officer and one as a gay man. Today, Cory leads multiple teams of special agents across the United States, many of whom are also in the LGBTQ community. He’s quickly discovered how much sharing his own story has helped others, and he wants to be a beacon of hope for gay people who face hurdles when coming out. Cory stands as proof that you can thrive as a proud gay man, especially within the hyper-masculine world of law enforcement.
