Darius Van Arman

Darius Van Arman is a sentimental generalist, an essayist, and a writer of thoughtful criticism, but is perhaps best known as the leader of a group of independent music companies known as Secretly. He founded the record label Jagjaguwar thirty years ago. The Secretly family of companies partners with and facilitates storytelling for a diverse group of artists, including Mitski, Phoebe Bridgers, Bon Iver, Japanese Breakfast, Faye Webster, Pastor T.L. Barrett, Angel Olsen and Sharon Van Etten, to name a few. Darius resides in Brooklyn with his partner Jessie and his son Avery.
