Farro is a scientist and artist. She is working on her first novel and a collection of essays. She also makes books from found objects, sometimes sewing maps and crocheted handkerchiefs together. Her publications include The Common, The Seneca Review, Water~Stone Review, and Eckleburg Review. She won a Loft Literary Center Mentor Series award in fiction.
