Emily Haymans was born and raised outside of Savannah, Georgia. She has an MFA in Fiction from New Mexico State University, where she worked as Managing Editor of Puerto del Sol. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in Monkeybicycle and 100-Word Story. This is her first nonfiction publication. She hopes that more of her work will soon appear in a literary journal near you.
