Emily Robbins is the author of the novel A Word for Love, which was inspired by her time as a Fulbright Fellow in Syria, where she studied with a women's mosque movement and lived with the family of a leading intellectual. The Rumpus publishes original fiction, poetry, literary humor writing, comics, essays, book reviews, and interviews with authors and artists of all kinds.
