Gina Thayer's fiction has appeared or is forthcoming in hex, Barrelhouse, Cotton Xenomorph, trampset (nominated for a Pushcart Prize), Sundog Lit, Five South, Lunch Ticket, Orca, Bullshit Lit, and HAD, among others, as well as reviews in venues such as Heavy Feather Review and Tupelo Quarterly. She holds an MFA in writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts and is currently working on a collection of speculative stories. After several years in the Pacific Northwest, Gina now lives in Minneapolis with their partner and cat.

The Rumpus publishes original fiction, poetry, literary humor writing, comics, essays, book reviews, and interviews with authors and artists of all kinds. Our mostly volunteer-run magazine strives to be a platform for risk-taking voices and writing that might not find a home elsewhere. We lift up new voices alongside those of more established writers our readers may already know and love. We want to bring new perspectives into the conversation that will make us all look deeper.
