Gladwell Pamba

Gladwell Pamba was the 2022 East Africa winner of the International Literary Seminars (ILS). She has previously been nominated for Best of Net Publications and won Afreada Contest in 2019. This year, she received fellowships to the Oxbelly Writers’ Retreat in Greece and to Uganda for CC Adetula Fellowship for African Women in Creative Writing. Her works are anthologised while others appear in Kikwetu Journal, Iskanchi Press, Bakwa Magazine, A Long House, Kalahari Review, AfroRep, Patchwork, The Offing, Waxwing, Tint Journal/ and Five South Journal.

The Rumpus publishes original fiction, poetry, literary humor writing, comics, essays, book reviews, and interviews with authors and artists of all kinds. Our mostly volunteer-run magazine strives to be a platform for risk-taking voices and writing that might not find a home elsewhere. We lift up new voices alongside those of more established writers our readers may already know and love. We want to bring new perspectives into the conversation that will make us all look deeper.
