Jai Hamid Bashir

Jai Hamid Bashir is a Pakistani-American artist whose work has been published in the American Poetry Review, POETRY, Arkansas International, Denver Quarterly, Black Warrior Review, Image Journal, and Guernica. She has won an undergraduate Academy of American Poets Prize, the Zócalo Public Square Poetry Prize, and the Linda Corrente Memorial Prize at Columbia University. Her chapbook, Desire/Halves, is scheduled to be published by Nine Syllable Press out of Smith College in fall 2024. Jai is a graduate of Columbia University and currently lives in Salt Lake City, Utah.
