Jeannine Ouellette

Jeannine Ouellette’s bestselling Substack, Writing in the Dark, explores the craft of writing as a way of life through attention, playfulness, curiosity, vulnerability, and surprise, and is hailed by Sarah Fay as being like “getting an MFA for practically nothing.” Her cult classic memoir, The Part That Burns, was a Kirkus Best 100 Indie Book and a finalist for the Next Gen Indie Book Award, and her short work appears widely in literary journals.
