Kathleen Maris Paltrineri

Kathleen Maris Paltrineri is the translator of Norwegian poet Kristin Berget’s and when the light comes it will be so fantastic (Northwestern University Press, 2025). A former Fulbright Fellow to Norway, she has received poetry scholarships and residencies from the Arctic Circle Residency, Sewanee Writers’ Conference, and Jentel Artist Residency. She holds an MFA in Poetry from the University of New Hampshire and an MFA in Literary Translation from the University of Iowa. Originally from Iowa, she lives in Los Angeles and is a candidate in the University of Southern California’s Creative Writing & Literature PhD program.
