KB Kinkel (they/he) is a writer living in Cambridge, Massachusetts. They teach English and creative writing and are the communications board member at Trans Resistance Massachusetts. Their poetry and other writings have appeared in Prelude, Ninth Letter, Eckleburg, The Rumpus (as interviews), and elsewhere, and their chapbook Blood Machine was a finalist for the Tupelo Press Sunken Garden Chapbook Prize (2020). KB holds an MFA in poetry from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop.

The Rumpus publishes original fiction, poetry, literary humor writing, comics, essays, book reviews, and interviews with authors and artists of all kinds. Our mostly volunteer-run magazine strives to be a platform for risk-taking voices and writing that might not find a home elsewhere. We lift up new voices alongside those of more established writers our readers may already know and love. We want to bring new perspectives into the conversation that will make us all look deeper.
