Kyla Schuller is the author of The Biopolitics of Feeling (2018) and a professor of gender studies at Rutgers University. She is currently writing The Trouble with White Women for Bold Type Press. Her research has been featured in The Nation and her essays have appeared in Los Angeles Review of Books and Post Road.

The Rumpus publishes original fiction, poetry, literary humor writing, comics, essays, book reviews, and interviews with authors and artists of all kinds. Our mostly volunteer-run magazine strives to be a platform for risk-taking voices and writing that might not find a home elsewhere.
